However, Axis continued to descend and enemy reinforcements were approaching.
There was no guarantee of survival.
Even so, the members of Londo Bell put their lives on the line, because they are the only ones who can save the Earth.
The Ra Cailum will now carry out its re-entry into the Axis battle zone.
The target is Axis’ nuclear pulse engine. We will launch a nuclear missile attack and a direct assault by the mobile suit squad.
Then we will make a forced landing and carry out the demolition work.
All right, so it’s a three-pronged strategy. We’ll finish this before enemy reinforcements arrive from Luna II.
…I’m sorry, but everyone’s lives are in our hands.
Reporting that a Federation fleet has departed from each space base. However, they show no signs of cooperating in preventing Axis from falling. What on earth are they thinking…?
Soon the Ra Cailum will launch nuclear missiles at Axis.
The mobile suit squad will be tasked with supporting the launch of the nuclear missiles and destroying the nuclear pulse engine.
…The fate of the Earth depends on this operation. I’m counting on you!

Reporting that the ship has successfully landed on Axis. We will begin demolition work immediately. Please have the mobile suit squad escort the ship until the operation is complete.
Reporting a huge explosion has been confirmed at the Axis port entrance. It appears that the enemy Musaka-class nuclear-loaded vessel has exploded.
Will the explosion slow down Axis…?

Okay, the setting is complete. With this, Axis will break apart.

At that moment, one unit attached itself to Axis to push it back.
It was Amuro Ray’s mobile suit.
Those touched by his dedication clung to Axis one after another, friend and foe alike.
However, the overwhelming difference in mass could not be overcome.
The attached units exploded one by one due to the frictional heat from the atmosphere.
Nevertheless, their determination to save the Earth created a miracle…
A mysterious light began to envelop Axis.
The light continued to expand, tearing off the attached mobile suits.
Eventually, it surrounded Axis, changed its course, and sent it out into space.
The Earth has been saved.
Amuro Ray won the battle against his nemesis and succeeded in capturing the escape pod carrying Char.
However, Char was not inside.
Amuro Ray is convinced that Char survived.
Following the footsteps of Char Aznable, he once again throws himself into the fight against anti-Federation organizations.
The heroes’ battle never ends.
